I thought that the dialogue at times
between Adolin and Shallan was elementary. She tried to be witty and it was embarrassing. Wit at least has a few good comebacks, but Shallan's entire dialogue was tough to follow.
Also, her back story was nothing compared to Kaladin's back story IMO.
