I did a quick look at the schedules this season so far . . .
Teams that have played with a 5-game turnaround:

Miami: was at Louisville came home and creamed Florida A&M 41-7
Louisville: hosted Miami then creamed Murray State 66-21
BYU: went to TX and came home to beat Houston 33-25
Houston: at home vs Grambling State then went on the road vs. BYU
Louisana Tech: beat north texas 32-21 in its third straight road game
North Texas: was at home vs. SMU then hosted L.T.

Teams that have played with a 6-game turnaround:
Utah State: Lost at Tennessee then came home and beat Idaho State 40-20
Boston College: went to UMass then came home and lost to Pitt 30-20
UTSA: won at Houston then came home and lost to AZ 26-23
Arizona: hosted unlv then went to UTSA and barely won
Baylor: hosted SMU then hosted Northwestern State to win 70-6
SMU: was at Baylor then lost at North Texas 43-6

My takeaway from all this is that thus far in the season most teams with a quick turnaround played a cream puff in one of the two back to back games. The exceptions are BYU (Texas and Houston) and UTSA (Houston and Arizona). UTSA lost their quick turnaround game at home with 6 days to prepare. BYU had come from two straight road trips with the most recent game a hostile Texas stadium. Our guys were tired and had little time to prepare for Houston who was at home the week before. Their week leading up to Grambling State was probably spent getting ready for BYU, and that game probably did very little to tire out their players.

BYU was noticeably tired against Houston in the second half. I believe this had a lot to do with the quick turnaround coming back from Texas.
