I remember him and Gordon Hudson dropping 56 on the Utes.....
He set the passing yardage record for a career during that game IIRC. In those days it wasn't a matter of whether you beat Utah, it was a matter of how much you beat them by. Utah coach Wayne Howard was a tool as well. He complained loudly about more BYU fans at Rice Stadium than Ute fans and also brought up all the stereotypical complaints against BYU (mission age players, experience, holding on the O line, religion etc.). It was so good to see them get pounded that day.
