Seems like we're still basking in that Texas win, and TH's popularity in the media. And, agreed on the style points for the most part. Every year, there is consternation about not wiinning big, or winning ugly, or SOS, which all seem to be important until a team breaks into the top 20, but not top 25 - teams at 20-25 can bounce around and seem to leap-frog more.

However, once an undefeated team gets into the top twenty, it seems to be pretty consistent that if you just keep winning (baby) until the end of the year, it's hard not to eventually get into the top 5. It just is, just by attrition of teams ahead of you. This has been true of almost anyone in previous years, including teams like BYU, BSU, UTAH, TCU, Marshall, UCF, USF, I think AFA one year, and even Hawaii - the list goes on. The key is can we win out, especially at Cal with P12 refs (Ugh), because losing will drop us in the polls like an asteroid smack into the Miami bowl turf.
