Not necessarily 2nd tier in the B12 - ESPN/Fox are co-Tier 1, rotating weeks...
Sure it could have been 2nd tier based on which provider was up for choices that week.

B12 Home games week 2 (B12 TV contract)

Kansas State at Iowa State 11:00 a.m. FS1
Missouri State at Oklahoma State 2:30 p.m. FSN Affiliates
SE Missouri State at Kansas 6:00 p.m. ESPN-GP / espn3 / Jayhawk TV
BYU at Texas 6:30 p.m. FS1
Northwestern State at Baylor 6:30 p.m. FSN Affiliates / FCSC (cable)
Towson at West Virginia 6:30 p.m. RSPI, DirecTV: 659-2

B12 Road games week 2 (NOT B12 TV contract)

Oklahoma at Tulsa 11:00 a.m. ABC / ESPN2
Texas Tech at UTEP 10:00 p.m. FS1

Texas apparently with the B12 also has a contract for unlimited rebroadcast of all Tier 1 games on the LHN as they've been replaying all their games so far...

Also remember that ESPN/ESPN2 are in about 100M homes (ABC 114M) and FS1 is in about 84M homes so the difference in distribution between the mother ship compared to FS1 is not that much.

Not like CBSSN (38M) or FS2 (30M?)....
