The following:
1. No call on a blatant offensive pass interference against JJ(?) on the last drive for UVA. Our DB had a legitimate shot at an interception, but was pushed down from behind right in front of the ref. BYUTV replay showed it to be worse than I thought.
2. Same ref calls PI against Preator later that same drive when it looked to me like Preator jumped the route cleanly and the WR initiated the contact. Others have said the call was good. The BYUTV replay left me with my initial impression, but it wasn't a good angle at all. Fowler and McCann seemed to agree with me.
3. The celebration penalty on Hine's return. At the stadium I thought they flagged Hine for slightly extending his arms before getting into the end zone. It has been clarified that the call was against our sideline, possibly a couple of coaches. Looks like the refs got that one right.
4. No call on taunting that happened right after the play I described in #2. That taunting was more excessive than what BYU had already been flagged for earlier. And the guy doubled down on his taunting when he saw he wasn't flagged for it the first time.
Overall, the refs called a really good game. The gift-wrapped TD at the end is what left the bad taste in my mouth (and probably most others who are complaining). Ref dude that practically tackled every player who scored a TD was also annoying, but he was equal opportunity in that he did it to Virginia too.
