It also shows that hard work often can not compensate for lack of experience.
I'm sure Howell will get there. But BYU needed him to be there this year with the team they had. Perhaps Bronco thought 2015 was the year, not 2014 and wanted to give him a year on the job for that season first.
Either way, Bronco needs to do more in game mentoring still.
