Here, let me say this so you may be able to understand...
At the beginning of the season there was a depth chart made with all of the players on the team having a position on that depth chart. The best players on the team were named the starters, that is because they were the best players at their respective positions which means the players who were not named the starters are not as good. Over the past couple of weeks BYU's starters on defense have been decimated by injuries.

LB's were 3 deep... does that mean you have 3 people at each position who are all on the same level? ummm no...
BYU has always sucked in the secondary, so to say it was the deepest in BYU history doesn't say much to me... and once again injuries have taken out or had an effect on our best players. Add to that our linebackers and DL are completely unable to get any pressure on an opposing QB and there isn't a DB in the world who can cover a WR for 8-10 seconds.
BYU's DL is designed to funnel the plays to our linebackers who once again are not at 100% which causes issues...

Turnovers are the story of the Nevada game. You cannot give the other team the ball deep in your own territory and expect to win.

Apparently our defense with the injuries that have taken place we don't have better players than those teams... Capiche??
