Our defense is the biggest problem, I agree with you there, but adding one play maker on defense won't change the mess we have there. You say Fua did well because teams had to worry about KVN last year, which is true, but they also had to worry about Manu, Unga, Hadley, Sorensen, Daniels, etc. There were waaaay more experienced play makers on defense last year. Adding one play maker to a D that has zero right now wouldn't save them.

On the other hand, Taysom would help this offense maintain the 30+ points per game average, but almost more importantly, he keeps our offense on the field longer than Christian. I've seen too many 3rd and 3-5 yds where Stuart has tried to scramble and been stopped short 2-3 yds. Taysom would convert those easily, and keep the O on the field.

One play maker can make much more of a difference on offense than on defense, especially when that play maker is your best player and has the ball in his hands every play (The quarterback).
