Alisa is speaking from his perspective, not yours. Not the coaches. His take is right on and it's a great attitude for him to have.
The fact that you "think" the coaches are the failures here is neither here nor there. That's just your opinion and it has nothing to do with his great attitude. Even if you are right and the coaches are terrible, his attitude is still great.
You shouldn't be arguing with his perspective/attitude.
