several condos on napili bay in north maui. cheaper flights than kauai, can probably rent a condo that sleeps 4 for $220/night. and you'll have plenty to do.

kauai is prettiest, fewest people. thats where they film stuff usually, jurassic park.

maui is a lot of honeymooners, more people, more commercial, but probably most popular

oahu has an 8 lane freeway. no thanks.

kona...some people prefer kona, i didn't love it as much. different feel...its a desert in some parts. i dunno.

kaui>maui>kona if you ask me.

i wouldn't do the cruise...the best part of hawaii is seeing the island and all parts, and walking on the beaches at night and morning. no cruise.
