Those are some of the consequences I was referring to in another post in this thread. Paying players would torpedo a ton of programs.
And if so many programs aren't generating enough revenue to pay even $10,000/player, how much are these players really contributing to their school's bottom line? The entire argument about the "fairness" of paying players is so ridiculously overblown.
