Your best response would be to stop talking with the media. Whether you are
contacting 1280 and other stations or papers or they are contacting you, you need to know that you are simply being used like a worm on a hook. Notice how many times other recruits parents have been in the media. There have been many other great players that have come through this state. Even in the last few years, you never heard Chase Hansen's, Xavier Sua'filo's or any other parents being interviewed by the local media hacks. You need to ask yourself, "Why are they seeking me out?" They are using you like a pawn. They don't care about your son's recruitment. They care about BYU drama.

The last parent that got this involved with their child's recruitment was Kelly Heaps. Jake will tell you now privately how much he wishes that his mother would have kept her mouth shut and how difficult she made his recruitment. You are putting an added stress on your child that he really doesn't need. The best thing you can do at the moment is stop being Porter's publicist and let him enjoy HIS recruitment.

Good luck
