But I assume that former players do, and I assume that media guys do. These guys don't say that BYU has a top-5 talent team, but they do say that the talent is greater than it has been at BYU before. Specifically Brian Logan (who I would think would know) says all the time that there is more talent on the defense now than there was when he was on the team. He hasn't let up on that position, even now. If you watched the post game, he was ticked because he knows that the talent is there but that the players are undisciplined and that only JSWAG showed up to play.

All of the things you point out, lack of speed, lack of burst don't say that the team doesn't have the talent, it just shows that IF they do have the talent, they aren't using it.
