Regarding Head Coaches it is ABSOLUTELY true. I don't have a link other than
I'm closer than you would ever guess. Asst. coaches and other positions do not have to be LDS. Honor code, etc... Whether or not this will change with a new President/Vice President, only they know. In terms of present day, Head Coach at BYU must be active LDS.
