EXACTLY
Players mostly wanted to come to BYU when we were winning. We haven't done much of anything in 5 years and running now so those days are coming to an end.

Getting talent to WANT to come here takes effort and salesmanship. Athletes like to feel important and not have to sell themselves for a scholarship. They also don't want to sit on the bench watching a slow, assignment sound walk-on get all of the playing time. They want to be treated well, have fun and don't want to be overly disciplined.

The musical chair coaching, decision making, and player fails aren't funny:

1. Anae I and Anae II
2. Cahoon (he saw the wheels falling off firsthand)
3. Detmer (pretty telling that he wouldn't accept our offer)
4. DuPaix
5. Doman (best QB coach in the country before accepting Offensive Coordinator position!)
6. Grimes (moved on to greener pastures)
7. Hill (best defensive coordinator on the planet)
8. Higgins
9. Howell (best cornerbacks coach in the country so why not promote him to DC)
10. Lamb
11. Mitchell (moved on to greener pastures)
12. Reynolds (Anae ran him into the ground and out of town under Bronco's watch)
13. Roderick (pretty telling that he accepted then rescinded BYU's offer)
14. Weber (looks like he's doing okay at Utah State)

1. Brad Sorensen, Riley Nelson, Jake Heaps, Ammon Olsen, Taysom Hill's two injuries, etc.
2. Star Lotuleilei (scholarship to BYU, forgotten while at Snow College)
3. Haloti Ngata (lost him to Oregon at the last second)
4. Ziggy Ansah was on the bench his senior year until an injury forced the coaches to start him
5. How many high profile athletes have chosen other schools over BYU even though they once bled blue?
6. The list is too long so I'll stop here

Many fans including former players have grown tired of the annual rhetoric, mad scientist coaching and player experiments, recruiting losses, baffling home losses, recent losses to U of U, USU, Nevada, etc. Bronco never has demonstrated an ability to judge coaching talent, and now he is sailing a gutless and rudderless ship. It's really sad to have witnessed the decline of BYU football. Few teams fear us nowadays, and when they get the chance they punch us in the mouth without much resistance!
