So you don't know. You're just speculating.
One of two things happened:
1) Bronco made it up.
2) Someone on Bronco's staff made it up.
Both reflect poorly on Bronco, and I have a hard time believing someone on Bronco's staff would put his/her career on the line by making a medical judgment without talking to Taysom's doctor. They would have a lot more to lose than Bronco, IMO.
