I tried searching for Bronco's quote. I didn't get far before I saw a trib article where the reporter asked Taysom about Bronco previously stating that Taysom had "shredded all of his ligaments"... to which Taysom replied that he had not torn all of his ligaments and that no grafting was needed to repair them.

As bloodhound stated before, a surgeon might definitely might use shredded as a descriptive word. That is probably the exact term Bronco heard. But, to anyone outside of the medical field, they might assume shredded means irreparable. So, Taysom was clarifying that "hey, they were able to repair the ligaments."
