Sometimes I really wish I could dial back my fandom like that.

But it's hard. I have a very passionate, emotional personality and no matter how disappointed I was in BYU the previous season, I always get sucked in again and get my hopes up again the following year. I almost feel like being a BYU fan is like having an abusive spouse. No matter how much BYU football abuses me, I keep coming back for more. I just can't quit them.
