Similar to any area in the Northwest that isn't an hour from Portland or Seattle: Spokane, Tri-Cities, Bend. Medford, Boise. The metropolitan areas are big enough to provide everythng you need. Having no traffic at all is awesome. But unless you are from there, as the years roll by, you start to feel isolated like you are on an island. Also, you are dealing with a smaller airport in Roberts Field and that isn't fun.

The Northwest is a very interesting place. It's the same size as all of western europe but is empty of people.
