To be fair to Bronco, he has had three teams as good or better than BSU
this year. Boise State has two losses and is currently ranked 20th in the college football playoff ranking, 21st in the AP poll and coaches poll. In 2005, 2006 and 2009 BYU under Bronco had final rankings in the AP and coaches polls of 12 to 16. (Those rankings for BYU were after bowl games and Boise State's ranking right now is before the bowl game). Boise State got in this year because of a change allowing the best non-B5 team to play in one of the big bowls.
