What you might be missing is he might get a lot better as he recovers.
Everyone close to him knows he is not 100% and he is not in the NBA mock draft discussion because he hasn't played well enough to be considered.
Does he have an outside chance to raise his game to a high enough level to force his way into this year's discussion? To you and me, that looks like a long shot. He hasn't given up on his chances to move on after this year. He thinks he still has a fighting chance.
What is certain to me is that KC at 100% is a lot better than he has played so far this year.
