Zag fan here... That message is from the San Fran board. While I'm not sure how accurate that is in regards to BYU's situation of the WAC it is pretty annoying hearing some of you whine in regards to the WCC. Yes, Gonzaga would jump ship to a better conference if it could (No we have no interest in being in the MWC) we make due with the situation we're in which is dominate the conference. I lurk cougarboard a lot since it's one of the more active boards in our conference and most of you have been pretty nice when I have made the occasional post. Seems like every other day I see someone making a comment complaining about the WCC or it's gyms. The fact that BYU has only managed to finish 2nd one time since you guys have been in the WCC makes the matter laughable and insulting to the rest of us in the WCC. Sorry our arenas aren't holding 20K like your arena holds but it doesn't matter because the game is played on the court and BYU just hasn't been getting it done when it comes to league play since you've guys have been in our conference. So instead of using the WCC and it's arena sizes as an excuse or scapegoat for your shortcomings aim your frustration at the real problem the lack of finish by your team. And in regards of the arena comments Gonzaga only seats 6k well short of many of the high level programs in the country and yet is still regarded as one of the best and hardest arenas to play at in all of college basketball that includes BYU's home arena so its not all about large capacity arenas.
