Anti-WCC comments here on CB come from BYU fans who want to return to the MWC.
I've had endless debates with them, but they refuse to be convinced that football/TV independence and WCC membership are better than returning as a full member to the MWC and its football/TV restrictions.
I, for one, am VERY grateful to the WCC for giving BYU basketball a competitive home, and I apologize on behalf of Cougarboard's MWC-lovers for their disparaging comments about the WCC and its schools.
Let me take it one step further: my ideal situation for BYU sports is not full Big12 membership, but football-only membership in the Big12 and continued membership in the WCC.
Yes, that's how much I like the WCC.
