kids and honor code compatible non LDS elite kids, who are recruited by everybody, don't look at BYU as a "destination". They want to play on the biggest stage, against the best competition, week in week out. BYU has not been in a position to offer that, ever. As BYU's schedule improves with 5 plus P5 opponents on it, they can begin to build some recruiting momentum with wins over big name programs. Those elite kids will begin to come.
