Let's be frank. Tithing is a killer financially. It will only get harder and
harder for members to continue paying a full tithe as the U.S. changes. Gone are the lucrative pensions, gone for the most part are lucrative bonuses and stock awards. Social security may not survive etc... I think most people going forward won't be able to retire until they are much older than 65 and maybe never.

My wife wants me to find another job for location reasons but when I look at what is out there I realize how good I have it. I work for a large multinational and have a great 401k, good bonuses and good equity grants and I still worry about retirement because we have five kids, my wife doesn't work and never has and pay a full tithe. I make great money and worry. I can't imagine what other people feel like. Making a decent living just gets harder and harder.
