Actually, heart disease is more likely, especially as you age. Cancer is #2.
I don't want him to imply that since something primarily kills old people, it is somehow not important.

Per the link, downplaying cancer is a silly thing to do (directed at Axel, not you). It is #2 in every age category beginning at 5 years old (except 15-34 when homicide and suicide become more common), then jumps to #1 at ages 45 to 65, when Heart Disease takes over.
