It's much different now.
The records do not come close to telling the whole story. We are wandering in a conference-less desert trying to convince people we are still relevant. Utah has clearly passed us by. We are losing in state recruiting battles to Utah and we are losing active LDS out of state recruits to Pac 12 teams.
When we became independent, everyone knew we needed to break out of the gates winning to really make it work. Quite the opposite happened. We are not merely in a wins and losses downturn this time. It's now systemic.
