I've kept track of recruiting classes since 1980
During Lavell's tenure 43% or less than half made significant contributions
as game time players.
Sad fact of life is most of the rest bombed out due to injuries, academics, HC violations and lack of talent.
In the late 1990s his worst recruiting class had 15 of the 18 freshmen bomb out.
Prima dona kids and prima dona parents are a bad mix. I saw that just coaching Little League.
