True, although that's probably a pipe dream for the MWC. BYU and Gonzaga
run profitable athletic programs every year. With no State money, every other WCC school runs a slight profit or a break even, depending on the year.

In the MWC, with subsidies from the State, Boise State is typically break even. None of the other 11 MWC schools comes close, even with massive subsidies.

Wyoming, New Mexico, etc., run slight deficits, even with HUGE (40%+ of their total budgets) government subsidies.
