I agree that having students behind the basket has a impact.

But the atmosphere inside of the student section above the portal where the players come out is... meh... Believe me! We used to be a lot louder. We only really have an impact on free throws... and thats only for half the game. That whole arena used to be rocking because they couldn't get away from the students at any point of the game IMHO.
