I think Kanter can be a dominant second unit force...

It doesn't mean he isn't as valuable as a starter, in fat it could be contrary to that... Just that Favors and Gobert can provide Defense AND scoring to start a game and frustrate an opponent, then when they sub teh Jazz can counter with Kanter and maybe Tre if he gets his stuff together...or another wing the jazz might get to draft this year.
