I can't believe the mediocrity being preached here. So many here seem to be
on a quest to the middle.
If you get into both then pick BYU over UVU, period.
Please realize that BYU on a national level is an average major college and it's really easy to get accepted (half of those who apply get accepted). You aren't impressing anyone with a BYU degree - academically we're average. A UVU degree, on the other hand, would be a huge negative in NYC. The UVU label closes a lot of doors.
I can't understand why anyone would want to brand themselves with the UVU label over the BYU label. Sure UVU is getting better, but come on....
