I just have to say that I'm sick of the derogatory posts about Haws - one of the
all-time greatest players in BYU basketball history. I don't care if he "choked" on the free throws. Without his 10 points we lose the game. Without his rebounds, we lose the game. Without him being on the court and becoming the focus of the Gonzaga defense, we lose the game. There is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY we win that game without Haws.

Without Haws we don't even make the NIT this season, let alone have a chance to be in the NCAAs.

I do not understand how any BYU fan can spend their time criticizing ANY BYU basketball player after that win on Saturday. Our TEAM won. Every player on the TEAM contributed to the win (even the 1.5 seconds that Nielsen played were critical). We all got to witness one of the greatest wins in PROGRAM HISTORY and some people are STILL dwelling on the negatives - negatives that are not even substantial. Are you kidding me?!

There are so many CBers eating crow and talking about how they are sorry that they criticized Halford. I would hope that everyone here would learn from their example. Yet there are many NOW criticizing Haws, one of our greatest BYU players ever. Are you kidding me?!

Stop comparing him to Jimmer. They are two very different players WHO PLAYED DIFFERENT POSITIONS. Their roles are/were different. No one has to choose between them. Be grateful that BYU has had both of them wear the Blue and White.
