Technically it is called the first round of the tournament
but that is really a semantic game by the NCAA. The moral victory term is usually used when a team loses a game but competed better than expected. In the case of the play-in game the team actually is victorious. How you are using moral victory makes no sense. While the NCAA play-in game is not something I would count as really part of the tournament a win in that game matters more than almost any regular season game.
