But the Big East is still clearly a Top 4 conference. They have 10 teams. They are going to get 5 in. The PAC-12 has 12 teams, and they'll get probably 3 in, when all is said and done. Maybe 4, at the most. BE RPI is much stonger than the PAC-12 or SEC, and the BE will get more teams in, with fewer in their conference.
Half of the deal with the old BE was that it had 16 basketball schools. Getting 9 teams in would be like the current BE getting 6 in, instead of the 5 they are going to get. Before Seton Hall disappeared this season, the BE was going to get 6 out of their 10 in.
