BYU has 4 top 75 wins. Is there something sacred about top 50 RPI?
The Committee Chair recently said RPI was not that important, and was only one of many considerations, per a link to a February interview that i have posted here many times.

I guess i don't understand the view that RPI is seen as the most precise measure.

It looks like systems of stat gurus like Pomeroy an Sagarin are increasing in credibility every year.

BYU's body of work is significantly stronger than last year's #10 seed. Cougars had some truly bad losses, including 5 losses by double digits, and no wins to compare to beating Zags in Spokane.

i think they are in easily, but opponents to BYU might force a downgrade to a play-in game, which would be fine.
