Close attention to the D-backs last year showed that virtually all of the big plays were mental mistakes (e.g., looking at the wrong area, etc.). Fixing those mental mistakes will need a lot of intention, focus, and repetition to become automatic between now and fall. But, I’ll bet those mental mistakes will be far fewer this year because that seems to be the focus from both the players and coaches.
