and mental focus/skills are not the same issue. With your football experience in mind, consider Rob Daniel. At Pro Day, Rob killed it with physical talent; however, he was absolutely and repeatedly scorched on the field. Why? It was not a lake of talent; it was a lack of focus. If you look at the replays, he was not mentally focused on his job (eyes in the wrong place, etc.). If Rob would have been as focused mentally as he is physically, that’s three more wins last year. And focus has to be developed in conjunction with fittness - through proper training over time.

Too bad Rob is gone now that Bronco is kicking butt on focus. I’ll bet the DB’s this year don’t repeatedly make the same mental mistakes Rob made last year. They may not be able to keep up with the speed and quickness physically, but they will not be looking at the wrong thing and biting on the double moves like Rob did.
