I think his point is that Howell had the resume of a pee wee coach before being

hired by Bronco. Many have taken exception to Howell's lack of qualifications for the job, particularly as defensive coordinator last year. Bronco's strange comments about Howell didn't help ("the stats don't bear it out, but Nick is a great coach." etc.).

The OP will correct me if I'm wrong about his opinion, I'm sure.
