Hope I'm wrong about this...(EDITED)
First of all, let me say congratulations to Steven Beo. The kid has clearly worked very hard to warrant a look and offer from BYU. Not every guy BYU signs is going to be a high major recruit that has the ability to play in the NBA. I would like nothing more than to be proven wrong about this, and I hope he comes in and contributes.

That said, I hate this offer. He has a beautiful stroke. But that's about it. I've watched the film on the kid, and he doesn't seem to have the first step to be a 1 at the D-1 level. He's probably 6-1, way too small to guard college 2's effectively. He doesn't look particularly quick, and seems to have a relatively slow release. He does finish well and has a little Jimmer to his game. I just don't see how this kid in the rotation at a contender. But knowing Rose's love for shooting, he will play significant minutes at some point, and we'll all be crazy upset about it. The kid can absolutely fill it up at the high school level. I just don't see anything beyond that.

EDIT: Word is Beo is a preferred walk on. Nothing to see here.
