not LDS, mom and kids are there at church. Daughter Tracy is on a Mission. Steven had a nonmember girlfriend for a while but that came to an end and I think he is now dating the daughter of a local bishop (I think, not 100%) and that has helped his interest in the church.

BYU has been of interest to Beo because it has a great program for his preferred major, and for a while they thought BYU was not interested in him. I think BYU was just late in finding him.

Last I spoke to his mom he was to be a preferred walk on, waiting for a scholarship to open up. Maybe that has changed. Local people were willing to pay his tuition to see him get to BYU...

I have been gently encouraging him to go to the Y for the last 1.5 years. His mom has thanked me multiple times for how I have approached it with him.
