In the strict terms of athletics I hear ya. But to get into the WCC & NOT be
a ritzy, established, private Catholic institution located on the west coast--you need to bring something more to the table than an athletic resume that would serve par in the conference.
Like I said, I'm still a bit shocked they made an exception for BYU. But the comments I hear time & again by the fans there is that BYU brings them up a level in terms of athletic prestige. Grand Canyon would definitely NOT do that.
