My problem with new is that you don't really know true market value. You
are paying what the builder says it's worth. And obviously, if you had to sell in the first 2 years, you'd be competing with the builder, which is impossible to do, because they will add every conceivable upgrade (which you paid top dollar for) at no cost, so they don't have to drop price...and then they drop price if they have to. You lose in both cases.

I think re-sales that are a couple of years old are better. Plus, there are thousands of dollars that you have to put into a brand hew house - drapes/blinds, etc., that people don't think about when they buy new...
