justifiable frustration...BYU's "goodness" without being "great" is more of a

curse/torture than a blessing.

BYU is #15...pretty dang good...actually, all things considered it's outstanding and should be a source of pride and accomplishment for players, coaches and fans alike. now look at the stars (***)...those indicate BCS appearances. dollar signs ($$$) are BCS wins. pluses (+++) are NC's. for time's sake i only did teams ahead of BYU but there is a HUGE discrepancy.

suffice it to say also that EVERY SINGLE TEAM below BYU in the top 30 has at least one BCS bowl game appearance. many have multiple and many have multiple wins. i'm sick of hearing just the "wins" stat because it is very misleading. EVERY OTHER team that has won as much (or many teams that have won less than BYU) has enjoyed much greater football joys than i ever have as a BYU fan (started fandom in 2002, or 2005 depending on how you want to look at it).

kudos to bronco and co for getting on this list in the first place...but welcome to the double-edged sword that it is lumping yourself into this group of teams. the angst on this board RE football is justified. i REALLY hope and pray this is our year. sadly, i've come to expect more disappointment and lack of "stars" "dollar signs" and "pluses" while watching other, sometimes lesser programs, leap frog us...and it has already affected the long-term viability of BYU football (P5 exclusion).
