If you want to live in Utah and have celebrity status (which can be spun in to employment and business opportunities) then you need to star at a Utah school. Mark Madsen is not a celebrity in Utah. CJ Wilcox is a Utah-raised NBA player who will never be a celebrity in Utah (unless he ends up on the Jazz). Matt Christensen is not a celebrity in Utah despite being an RM who played 4 years at Duke. I don't think he or Mark Madsen are bothered by non-celebrity status in Utah because they weren't raised there, but even in the outside-of-Utah LDS culture, Jimmer is much better known.
