I've always heard that Wisconsin is a huge party school
Do they strictly apply such a code?

Seems like the one thing that really separates BYU & makes it difficult is the no sex thing. We've gotta be the only big time football school that enforces such a code. I've heard about a lot of forgiveness extended to non-Mormons on this, too - so I wonder how much of a factor it is in recruiting. I've got a neighbor who can't stand BYU's leniency towards athletes, he thinks their treatment is preferential and that those athletes are taking the space of someone else who really wants to be there and can live the code. For my part, I love that BYU extends second chances to repentant students, I think that the are following the example of Christ when they do so. I've always wondered how strict the HC office is about applying this part of the code to players, particularly non-LDS ones.

When I was at BYU, I had several roommates who violated the HC in various ways. The HC agreement that I signed upon enrollment stipulated that I should have reported them. I hated signing that agreement, because I knew I probably never would report my friends. It made me feel like a liar. I guess I probably was a liar - I lived the code, loved my school and what it stood for, and tried to be an example to my roommates - but I always resented that clause in the honor code. I continue to hope that someday the Pharisees will move on from the school, and that someone more reasonable will rewrite it and a bunch of other university policies.
