Why doesn't the Viper have an automatic transmission option yet? I understand that die hard gear heads view it as a barbarism to put an auto transmission in a Viper, but. I would be willing to bet that the die hard gear heads would understand why even if someone "knows" how to drive stick- it doesn't mean they should with a car like the Viper. Dodge just seems to be way behind the curve on this one. Ferrari's, Lambo's, etc. all have the option for an automatic transmission. Because 1. Less and Less people know how to drive stick 2. With that much power, one wrong move can be expensive or even lethal. I'm guessing there are enough people that think "man, a Viper would be cool. Too bad I don't drive stick". It's not like Viper sales are very high anyway.
Yet like I said, much of this is blaspheme to the most dedicated gear heads.
