I need some input from anyone on the board that got an MBA from BYU or from anyone else that wants to chime in.
I'll try to make a long story short. I have been accepted into the BYU MBA program this fall. I have 10 years of work experience as an Aircraft Structures Engineer. I have worked my way up to a Senior Engineer Position. I have been very successful in my career thus far. I don't want to do this forever.
I am hoping that the MBA will give me a new network and fresh opportunities, a quicker path out of the engineer pigeonhole that I'm in. I do not expect that it will lead to greater pay to begin with since I would be walking away from a very good salary.
I'm trying to make a decision and would like some input from those that have made similar decisions and how the decision turned out. I have a good friend that is a very successful businessman and he said "DO IT!". But I'm am engineer, this has to be analyzed!
