This is a silly judgmental comment if you ask me. Why would a kid not want to look at better programs, with better coaches, playing better teams, on a bigger stage? Your answer is it must be he does not want to live the HC? Take off the blue goggles.

Sure any kid could go to the NFL if they are great. Certain schools and coaching staffs prep players better, that is fact. That is like saying to a HS graduate wanting to study accounting, why go to BYU undergrad just go to SUU because if you are a great student it will all work out. There is truth to that but BYU gives accounting students better teaching, better opportunities to recruiting, better access to alums etc etc.

Sure a kid could make the NFL from SUU, but no matter the talent if they start at a ND, USC, Ohio State, SEC school, UT.....you have a better shot. Going to a big time program on a big stage, with a great coaching staff, with a team the has a pipeline to the NFL helps your chances and will likely maximize your value.
